This hands-on technical role demands knowledge of business processes and methodologies along with an analytical and data modeling background. The candidate will have direct hands on experience in HR Applications design, configuration and implementation. Experience in Workday or other large HR enterprise systems is required. Reporting to the Snr. Business Process Analyst, the HR Tech Analyst will be responsible for driving proactive enhancements, configuring and supporting Box’s HRMS (WorkDay) and other HR tools. General responsibilities include HRIS system configuration, analyzing, reporting of data and participating in specialized HRIS projects. Partners with People Organization to evaluate HRIS software needs and may design new or modify existing HRIS to meet changing demands.

Responsibilities

    • Customize and implement new features/functionality in Workday HRMS per user requirements. 
    • Help maintain integrations between HRIS and other applications within the company. 
    • Participate in all aspects of system testing including development of test strategy documentation, write test scripts, coordinate testing resources, compile test completion metrics, and test script execution (including stress tests and user acceptance testing.) 
    • Work closely with business to understand business processes, goals and gaps. 
    • Responsible for understanding business requirements, configuring the Workday HCM product and creating documentation as needed Support People Operations Analyst with reporting technology to ensure any critical issues are resolved quickly. 
    • Provide technical support as needed to HR systems end users Develop relationships with various business functions such as HR (People Partners, Compensation, Benefits, L&OD, Recruiting), IT, Finance, and other business groups to ensure open communication regarding upcoming projects, resource requirements, and project participation.
    • Any other project-related support as assigned.

Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in Business, Information Systems, or related area or equivalent 5+ years hands-on HRIS experience required
    • Experience in HR systems administration or HRIS project roles an asset
    • WorkDay experience preferred 
    • Requires knowledge of HR principles and best practices, computer software for Talent Management, Performance Management, Manager/Employee Self Service, Compensation and Business Intelligence/Analytics. 
    • Strong understanding of HRIS SaaS systems  Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Finance and IT business processes as well as intra and inter-departmental functions and interdependencies 
    • Must thrive in a fast paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing is necessary 
    • Must be a self-starter, independent, team-player, proactive 
    • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Experience in supporting Applicant Tracking Systems and Learning Management Systems 
    • Interest in, or knowledge of Project Management frameworks/methodologies preferred 
    • Knowledge of Workday HCM preferred. 
    • Knowledge of other Oracle HR applications is a plus. 
    • Customer service oriented with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations and the ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent experience. 
    • Ability to manage change effectively always mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications
