Senior Manager, Marketing Operations & Analytics

The Sr. Manager Marketing Operations & Analytics is responsible for delivering strategic and operational reporting/analytics to help measure and improve demand generation efforts as well as overall marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a mix of business and technical skills, as well as experience working closely with the business on analytical projects. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience in the marketing function, including marketing operations.

Responsibilities

    • Report and analyze data to help various teams – demand generation, field marketing, CMO, sales, product marketing - discern relevant business trends and opportunities to help measure and improve efficiency and execution. Focus on campaign and lead effectiveness, as well as prospects and customer reporting, segmentation, targeting. 
    • Develop metrics, KPI’s, weekly e-staff dashboard, monthly operations review for the COO and quarterly marketing review for the CMO. 
    • Help the business make sense of the numbers. Formulate and present relevant actionable recommendations. Help use insights to affect positive change in the organization. 
    • Work with various operations and IT teams to understand processes and source systems underlying the data. Provide insights and recommendations for addressing data issues. 
    • Seek out industry best practices and incorporate relevant ideas. 

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of marketing experience (such as demand generation) and experience in an operational and analytical function.
    • Successful track record of working with marketing and sales teams as well as executives to identify strategic and operational analytic needs: developed effective solutions in response to need, proactively provide business with recommendations for additional analytics.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment, prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals/groups at all levels within the organization. Experienced in presenting information and analytic results to the business.
    • Self-starter who proactively drives projects, looks for new and better ways of doing things, learns new tools and systems, etc.
    • Experience working with business intelligence software products is a plus (experience with Oracle OBIEE/Answers, Tableau, SPSS and MS Analytical Services). 
    • Knowledge of salesforce.com and marketing automation systems is required.
    • Experience in the business-to-business high tech; SaaS or enterprise software industry preferred.
    • Passion for cloud technologies.
