Sr. Financial Analyst
Box is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Strategic Planning & Analysis team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible managing the annual financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes to help drive high quality strategic decisions. The Strategic Planning & Analysis team at Box is responsible for forecasting, planning and analyzing business activities. We work closely with the CFO and senior executives to plan the business and allocate budget and resources to the company’s strategic initiatives. As this is a cross-functional role, candidates are required to be highly analytical and very effective communicators. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of superior financial modeling and using analysis to influence decision-making, including prior experience in a corporate finance and/or strategy-related role. The candidate should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, highly team-oriented, inquisitive, enjoy problem solving and focused on driving towards results.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of SP&A and the CFO on the long-term financial model and Board and Exec Staff materials
- Understand the full company P&L and lead the financial planning process, roll-up of inputs and re-forecasts provided by the SP&A team members who own the departmental P&Ls
- Help establish the monthly and quarterly reporting and re-forecasting cadence amongst the team and company and align with Accounting’s close schedule
- Understand the business cases for investment across the company and advise on whether the resourcing needs can be funded
- Other ad hoc projects as need be
Qualifications
- 2-4 years prior work experience in investment banking with focus on M&A or corporate FP&A at a top tech company also preferred (M&A experience required)
- Excellent financial modeling skills and experience leading quantitative analysis
- Very strong communication/ presentation skills with experience creating and delivering effective presentations to senior management
- 4-year degree from top-tier university with strong academic performance
