Non-Destructive Test Technician (Ultrasonic Testing)
Overview:
- This position will involve Ultrasonic inspection of various complex parts within the production floor.
Responsibilities:
- Ultrasonic inspection of complex parts including but not limited to OTW, FSW, and Castings.
- Develop Ultrasonic inspection techniques for complex geometries.
- Interpret and review drawings as required.
- Review internal and external film and digital media for acceptance to codes and standards.
- Provide leadership to UT level I & II teams on the 2nd Shift.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Level II Non-Destructive Technician.
- NAS 410 Level II certification in UT.
- IRRSP card is a must.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in one or more of the following methods are preferred: UT, UT phased array.
- ASNT Level II certification in UT preferred.
- Experience with Tomoview a plus.
- Experience in CR, DR, CT and/or real-time methods is a plus.
- AWS RIP Card is a plus.
- Experience in interpreting castings and weldments.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel on occasion to our launch facilities in Texas and Cape Canaveral.
- NDT work at SpaceX requires physical exertion, a successful candidate should be able to bend, lift, climb and work in confined spaces as needed to complete testing tasks.
- Must be willing to work a significant amount of overtime as needed.

- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
