Accounting Manager
Artsy is seeking an Accounting Manager to own bookkeeping and accounting at Artsy, reporting to our Head of Finance. The Accounting Manager must be agile and highly motivated to handle changing priorities and new initiatives at our fast-paced, high-growth business.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of all payments, general ledgers, financial reporting, cash management, and monthly close; assistance with sales tax analysis, regulatory tax filings, and external audits; and performance of ad-hoc analyses.
The ideal candidate is a CPA with a degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration and 4+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including startup-up and e-commerce experience. You must possess advanced analytic skills, with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP principles, general ledger accounting, automated accounting systems, merchant statements and billing gateways. You must be based in New York City, and available to start immediately on a full-time basis.
