CNC Lathe Machinist- 2nd Shift
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up, operating and programming a CNC Lathe machine.
- Candidates must also have some Mastercam experience.
- Must be proficient at all types of drilling, tapping and milling.
- Must be able to complete set-up and machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
- Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in set up, operation and programming of CNC Lathe machines.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in shop math, tooling technology, blueprint reading and measurement of parts.
- Experience using precision measuring devices in a shop floor environment. (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 5-axis programming is a plus (but not required).
- Proven capabilities to provide continuous improvement suggestions.
Additional Requirements:
- Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
- Ability to work Split Shift-Nights (3:30pm-2am) overtime and weekends, as needed.
ITAR Requirements:
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
