and I lead the team at Wooga that spends the most money: Marketing! We are seeking a Marketing Insights Manager to help our team utilize vast amounts of data in order to spend even more money marketing the best games on the planet.
Wooga’s Marketing team is highly analytical and numbers-driven, incorporating a large degree of testing into its media buying processes and assisting the game teams with their product development cycles by constantly evaluating the markets they want to reach. At Wooga, “marketing” isn’t the activity that’s done once a game is complete: it’s a constant presence in the game development lifecycle.
About the Role
- Lead independent projects to find valuable, actionable insight from the large volumes of marketing data we collect to improve campaign performance and grow our games’ user bases.
- Design, implement, and analyse tests around the aspects of games that relate to their marketability (name, theme, icon, etc.), with varying levels of visibility throughout the organization.
- Contribute to the development of Wooga’s marketing analytics tool and infrastructure. Gather feature requirements from key stakeholders, suggest new features, and coordinate their development with engineers.
- Automate various analytical processes and streamline our efforts to get good insights under imperfect conditions, quickly.
- Take ownership of various regular marketing reports that are presented to both management and the game teams.
About you
- A BS / MS in a quantitative field (economics, finance, mathematics, physics, statistics, etc.).
- At least 2 years’ experience in an analytical role (preferably with a consumer technology company).
- Strong familiarity with SQL and data visualization / analysis in a scripting environment (Python, R, etc.).
- Prior experience with a gaming company is helpful but not required.
