Part Marker
As part of the Supply Chain Management team, the Part Marker will be responsible for working on new and exciting challenges in an R&D environment that is fast paced and supportive of the production of rockets and spacecraft.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ink and laser part marking on different types of parts in conformance to specifications/drawings.
- Communicate with internal customers as required to resolve part making discrepancies.
- Utilize ERP system to route parts and components to proper departments.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required or 2 years of experience as a Part Marker.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience inspecting R&D hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- ISO 9001/AS9100 experience.
- Experience with Laser marking, engraving, dot peen, vibro etch, barcode, ink, stamping on metallic and non-metallic parts.
- Understanding of part marking machines and ability to perform minor maintenance such as cleaning and changing out consumables.
- Experience with critical item handling, as well as aerospace packaging standards.
- Good understanding of geometry and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to inspect parts utilizing blueprints and drawings and ability to read and interpret written work instructions including marking.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all hours, shifts, weekends, and overtime, as needed.
