About The Role
Centro is looking for an enthusiastic and highly talented individual to join our team working on the SiteScout Platform. As a Product Manager, the successful candidate will be steeped in the world of advertising technology, with a strong connection to the marketing organization. The role will have a direct impact on growing the business by helping to execute on our product roadmap. Applicants for this role should be highly knowledgeable about modern web applications and product design in general. They should also be very confident in their ability to apply their product management skills immediately. The successful candidate for this position should have a strong background in product management, with a focus on customer development, user experience, UI design, and customer success.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for being the voice of the customer.
- Help to maintain product roadmap and product relevance.
- Take responsibility for devising and executing winning product plans.
- Gain a deep understanding of online advertising economics, and SiteScout's business model in particular.
- Support a holistic product offering, in cooperation with marketing, sales, and support departments.
- Define useful products that can be executed against realistically and with a strong competency.
- Clearly define the "what" (as opposed to the "how") and manage the delivery of the "what".
- Provide clarity to engineering about the roadmap and our product plans.
- Be clear on task prioritization, logical sequences, and communicating those with internal stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly to engineering in writing as well as verbally, erring on the side of clarity.
- Take written positions on important issues: tough design choices, product decisions, etc.
- Maintain and update product assets, including: roadmap, feature specs, designs, and JIRA plans.
- Create collateral, FAQs, presentations, and whitepapers that can be leveraged by other departments.
- Create monthly product reports, compiling updates/data from all key sources (JIRA, email, etc.)
- Deliver status reports on time every week with absolute discipline.
Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a product management role.
- On top of the latest innovations in product creation, design, and user experience (UX).
- Understands the market, our product line, and the competition extremely well.
- Thinks in terms of delivering superior value to our users and achieving market share and revenue goals.
- Strong grasp of customer development methodology for assessing product-market opportunities.
- Operates from a strong base of knowledge and confidence in digital advertising.
- Takes full responsibility and measures themselves in terms of the success of the product.
- Resourceful, self-reliant, and does not monopolize the resources of the existing product team.
- Decomposes problems, rather than combining problems into larger issues.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Superior communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written).
- Experience with modern development methodologies: Scrum, Lean, Agile, etc.
- Experience with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) and MS Office.
- Nice to have: Experience and proficiency with Google AdWords.
- Nice to have: Solid understanding display advertising (especially RTB & Programmatic).
- Nice to have: Project management experience (PMP).
- Nice to have: Completed the Pragmatic Marketing training for product management.

We built our own media management system to aggregate small local sites market by market so that advertisers could effectively and quickly utilize the benefits of local digital media.
