We are looking for a Solutions Architect on our Professional Services team to work cross functionally with customers and Box employees to define solution requirements, approach and design. The Solutions Architect is a high impact, high visibility role, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting Box technical solutions and driving further development and evolution of these solutions to meet customer needs. You will play a critical role in building and sustaining customer and partner relationships while driving the adoption of our solutions. The Solutions Architect also works closely with other teams to maximize opportunities by identifying, developing, designing, building, accelerating and scoping projects.

Responsibilities

    • Guiding customers and administrators in executing and designing solutions on the Box platform 
    • Design and develop project scope documentation, statements of work, technical specifications, and business requirements 
    • Collaborate to define functional and technical requirements, and translate them into functional designs, workflows, governance documentation, proposals, and project plans 
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with targeted customers to ensure that all activities are closely aligned with the customers’ business case and business strategy 
    • Establish and oversee development and usage of best practices to continually drive incremental value and return on the customers investment 
    • Provide technical and functional expertise during meetings to prospective and existing customers, advising on deployment architectures and strategy, and handle in-depth technical questions during meetings and calls as they relate to implementing Box solutions 
    • Engage in getting Box more deeply deployed and integrated into new industry and horizontal use cases. Includes leveraging Box as a platform in line of business applications 
    • Contribute to organizational process improvement, including developing use cases, knowledge bases, creating tools and mentoring other professional services team members 
    • Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP webservice technologies

    • A team player that will help mentor teammates who are looking to get to the next level 
    • 7+ years of previous development, consulting, professional services or sales engineering experience 
    • Experience working with and deploying SaaS applications 
    • Meaningful project management experience – you have lead and finished complex projects, along with expertise in project management methodology and change management 
    • You will be expected to display initiative, self-motivation and deliver high quality work while at the same time, meeting all deadlines for both internal and external customers 
    • Experience in software development, design, testing, and deployment 
    • Content Management industry experience including SharePoint, eDiscovery, compliance, MDM, WCM, BPM, records management, etc.
    • Business Analysis and Business Case/ROI construction.

Qualifications

    • Experienced, focused and performance-driven - you will serve as a technical expert and work as an evangelist for Box professional services. 
    • Technically adept, experienced with web technologies, cloud, and mobile 
    • Extensive content management experience 
    • Technical degree required - B.S. Science or equivalent work experience 
    • You will be required to have a broad and detailed understanding of Technology and Programming Languages and be able to articulate the benefits of Cloud Computing in the context of IT challenges and the growth of other Cloud Computing strategies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Salesforce.com 
    • Outstanding written, presentation and verbal communications skills – including the ability to go a mile deep with technical customer resources or to explain the most basic capabilities to a non-technical user 
    • Customer facing- you feel confident presenting detailed technical information to executives. You will be expected to fully understand and clearly articulate the benefits of BOX to all levels including line of business managers, 'C' level executives, Developers, IT Architects and CIO’s 
    • You must have a proven track record in the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions and presentations, including advanced technical concepts, to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs
    • Passion for cloud technologies
