Brand Strategy Planner
One of the fastest growing enterprise tech companies in the world is looking for a great new addition to join our team. We’re looking for a Strategic Brand Planner who understands the magic of technology and how to present it to our users in unconventional and compelling ways. If you’re a brand champion who wants to be part of advancing the working world and helping enterprising minds to be more collaborative and powerful - and the qualities below sound like you, we should speak.
Your Qualities
- A social anthropologist at heart, you’re curious about what makes people act and think the way they do.
- You have an understanding of brands and their brand values. You’ve been involved with decisions about brands, not just decisions about research
- Highly organized and detail orientated enough to examine a problem from different perspectives without losing sight of the big picture
- The voice of the consumer - able to portray a target consumer without immediately stating demographics
- You’re an insight and data miner who is both numerate and analytical in nature but capable of lateral thought and views research as a means of illumination, not a crutch for decision making
- You’re skilled in telegraphing insights or data points into well defined, accessible Creative Briefs the team can execute on
- Ability to think creatively and strategically - you have direct experience in the development and production of commercial communications
- A strong grasp of media and communications planning and buying
- Ability to interpret media performance and drive media buy negotiations
- Strong ability to measure and report on campaign effectiveness
- Someone who accepts nothing at face value, and challenges assumptions until the whole picture (sales data, quantitative, qualitative, competitive info, etc) makes sense.
- An understanding of advertising as only one tool in the marketing mix, its potential uses and its limitations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS (or relevant equivalent)
- 9+ years brand planning experience – preferably in enterprise and/or technology
- Impeccable cross-functional skills, as you’ll be working with people from many different teams and internationally
- Resourceful and creative
- Passionate about working with cutting-edge technology
- Self-motivated, self-managed, and well organized: able to think independently, get feedback, move ahead, while still keeping everyone in the loop
- Overwhelming desire to kick-ass and grow in your career
- Inspired by working with a fun, ambitious, slightly wacky team in a fast-paced environment
