Product Manager - Enterprise Systems
As a Product Manager - Enterprise Systems supporting partner automation, you will be at the forefront of how Box executes on extending its market presence beyond our direct and domestic sales funnels. Your work will allow Box to scale our sales volume dramatically while ensuring operational stability, enabling analytical insights, and maintaining successful relationships within our partner ecosystem. We are looking for a skilled, experienced individual who will take product ownership over all technical work required to enable a partner to successfully provision, sell, and reconcile with Box. Your responsibilities will include the estimation, prioritization, and delivery of all relevant deliverables. As a part of this, you will oversee the design, development, and testing of these deliverables done either by in house or 3rd party technical staff. Additionally, you will be a key point of contact for our partner’s technical and business stakeholders in early discovery, planning, and onboarding their tools & processes into our internal systems. Your purview will span across all of Box’s internal business systems, and will also include building and maintaining applications that enable partners to tie directly into our publicly exposed provisioning APIs.
Responsibilities
- Manage, prioritize, and communicate a living backlog of work aimed at supporting Box’s partner-facing provisioning, sales, and billing automation.
- Scope, estimate, and deliver technical work in partnership with key engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables are in alignment with internal and external business requirements. Guide and govern timelines for product delivery, partner onboarding, and operational enhancements.
- Interface with partner business and technical representatives as a part of early discovery, process planning, and technical onboarding. Be on call to support and direct issues that come up post launch and as a part of running the business.
- Lead cross-functional project teams comprised of Box employees and partners aimed at doing whatever it takes to accomplish the collective goal of enabling partners technically to sell & provision Box to their customers, and to operationally reconcile with Box’s internal sales, billing, and reporting systems of record.
- Manage the full application implementation cycle all the way through QA, deployment, and adoption. Drive user acceptance testing, regression and integration testing with appropriate groups.
Qualifications
- 4 year degree required; CS preferred, but not required. MBA preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years experience in overseeing the full application development and QA lifecycle.
- Functional knowledge of enterprise sales & billing processes.
- Capable of driving a group of business stakeholders through the design & decision-making for net new business processes, and of producing necessary detailed documentation for both internal and external consumption.
- Ability to work well with business users in solutions design, development and QA.
- Experience in developing test scripts and executing effective test plans and procedures.
- Experience in conducting big, complicated, cross-functional projects where you have successfully overseen both business-facing and purely technical team members in pursuit of a common goal.
- Established verbal and written communication skills – will be an effective representative of Box’s product and its technical brand
