Description

At Atlassian, we look at things differently, and that includes the way we communicate technical information to our customers - an end-to-end journey beginning inside our products and ending with just enough documentation. We know that good writing and software are often not synonymous and are on a mission to change that. We’re on the hunt for someone passionate about crafting a holistic information experience for Atlassian’s customers. Your job will be designing both a stellar content strategy and developing it to scale on various related projects.You’ll do some writing, but you’ll also focus on bringing together content from various product families to ensure we provide a consistent and comprehensive experience for our users. This role actively collaborates with cross-company teams like marketing, development, training, design and support teams to ensure a holistic approach. You’ll also be testing and validating our existing content, finding ways to improve it, and leading ad-hoc agile teams to deliver initiatives.

This job is for someone who thinks bigger than traditional software documentation. You can explain complex features within tiny amounts of product real estate and communicate value in a compelling, clear and effective way. If you have the following traits you will be a great fit: a knack for creatively engaging with audiences (no “me too” stuff), a need to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent project management skills, an ability to challenge yourself and others, and a love of using data to create better results. On any given day you can expect to be running workshops and sparring sessions, auditing and measuring existing content, organising ad-hoc, agile teams and guiding other Atlassians to create and maintain standards in copy wherever it appears.
