Hardware Program Manager

Overview and Responsibilities:
The SpaceX Avionics team is looking for an experienced and driven Technical Project Lead.  The candidate will draw upon their technical background and program leadership skills to drive complex and challenging Avionics projects end to end.  The responsibilities will include driving - the planning, project definition, schedule, resources, technical decisions and trade-offs, as well as tracking, executing, and releasing Avionics projects to production.  Qualified candidates will work with multidisciplinary teams and leaders across Avionics – RF, Mechanical, Board Design, System Architecture, System Integration, Software, Manufacturing and Test, to enable successful execution of state of the art Avionics from beginning to end.  In addition, the individual will also be responsible for the overall coordination of the project with the other SpaceX engineering teams such as Structures and Propulsion.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent area of focus
  • Minimum of 3 years of Technical Project or Program Management Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience with demonstrated innovation and product/project development capability.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent area of focus
  • Experience with full hardware product lifecycle(s)
