Avionics Technician
Responsibilities:
- Working with design engineers to develop and document test procedures
- Establishing and maintaining specialist test setups
- Performing tests and recording test results
- Working with design engineers to troubleshoot failures
- Conducting tests at external specialist test houses
- Read, interpret, and work from free form drawings as well as from controlled documentation and processes
- Independently perform verifications and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner
- Validate parts lists for avionics hardware
- Assist with the development of production processes for first time production runs
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required; an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education is acceptable
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Associates degree is preferred
- Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and high accuracy
- Ability to correctly and efficiently operate various hand tools and electronic assembly tools
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow build documentation
- Some experience in space, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environments is highly desirable
Additional Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
