About the job:

  • We are looking for product-oriented sales professionals to drive revenue growth by closing net new sales opportunities.
  • You will be focused on selling our short code products across many verticals for both direct customers and channel partners.
  • You will take a consultative approach to uncovering customers’ pains and identifying if and how Twilio might be able to help their business.
  • Our customers are often software engineers and product managers. You must love talking to engineers and product managers about building their businesses. More importantly, engineers and product managers must love talking to you.

 Responsibilities:

  • Become a Twilio product expert. You will develop a deep knowledge of Twilio's product, particularly our messaging product, so that you can help our customers implement their solutions.
  • Close new business in the context of Twilio's unique sales model.
  • Create great customer experiences.
  • Build and execute scaleable processes. You will use various marketing and sales tools to complete customer buying cycles. Then, you will use this data to help us improve team and customer performance metrics. You will also work with our carrier operations team to improve our customer onboarding process.

 Requirements:

  • You are a tech-savvy people person who learns fast and thinks on your feet. You love working with customers  -- listening to them and solving problems.
  • You are voraciously curious. You are passionate about understanding the problems our customers care most about and are excited about pursuing continuous education of Twilio’s ever-evolving platform.
  • You are analytical and detail oriented.  You can collect data and quickly make decisions about next steps in the sales process. You are comfortable making data-driven decisions.
  • You are an intelligent and ambitious go-getter, and you’re excited to develop your technology sales skills working with a fast growing company with real traction in the marketplace.
  • You’re ready to roll up your sleeves to get stuff done, doing whatever it takes to retain and delight a customer. You’ve admired the Nordstrom, Apple, and Zappos service ethos.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree from a top tier university and 2+ years of quota-carrying tech sales experience.
  • You are comfortable with an aggressive quota.
