About the job:
- Twilio is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst / Manager, Revenue & Sales Analytics based in San Francisco and reporting to the Sr. Manager, FP&A.
- As the Sr. Financial Analyst / Manager, Revenue & Sales Analytics you will be responsible for global revenue forecasting, including projections for Major Accounts and other key customer segment forecasting.
- This role will partner closely with our Sales Operations function and the ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating between sales bookings style metrics and recognized revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the consolidation of multiple monthly revenue forecasting components, including customer and product level forecasts, into single global revenue forecast.
- Own and manage the detailed forecast of revenue from new customers. Working closely with the Sales Ops Team, further refine existing lead generation model to expose differentiated new customer revenue contributions by lead type.
- Establish operational workflow to optimize monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting by sales team.
- Coordinate various revenue forecast components with corporate P&L owner and establish regular cycle for updates and coordinated consolidation.
- Support large, complex sales transactions with deal models and coordinate with deal desk to ensure margin profiles are within corporate targets.
- Partner with centralized data team and SFDC Administrator to scale our reporting capabilities, ensuring data consistency required for accurate forecasting models.
- Establish methodology for measuring SaaS metrics such as Lifetime Value of customers in usage-based, recurring revenue model and Cost of Acquisition
- Work as part of cross-functional finance team to develop new processes and workflows that will help Twilio scale efficiently.
- Prepare Ad Hoc Analysis as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA is a plus. Business, Economics, Math or Engineering undergrad majors preferred.
- 7-8 years of progressive financial experience in a professional organization.
- Experience analyzing or working at a SaaS company with a recurring revenue model.
- Understanding of sales & marketing funnel and SaaS selling process.
- Experience working in high-growth company or division, working closely with the sales team and operating managers.
- Track record of prioritizing and managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Advanced Excel and strong SFDC skills a must. Strong Keynote skills highly desirable and exposure to commission tools helpful but not required.
- Strong operational knowledge of financial systems, such as Netsuite, Adaptive Planning, and/or Splunk.

- Strong operational rigor, disciplined data management skills and understanding of the importance of reporting consistency.
- Can drive operational changes, collaborating across teams to drive data consistency across multiple systems, departments and reporting environments.
- Can translate financial analysis into indicators for operational change and improvement.

- History of working across finance and sales departments and sensitive to each team's needs and goals.
