About the job:

  • You will lead the teams that foremost help Twilio customers and prospects to comprehend and envisage Twilio-powered systems. You will provide coaching and management and in doing so, you will nurture a solid, high-performing team that delivers a world-class pre-sales consultation experience.
  • You will own overall responsibilities for pre-sales training and education, building a culture of continuous learning.
  • You will find ways to do more with less and own the processes and tools that allow Twilio Pre-Sales Engineers to make customers successful more quickly and with improved consistency.
  • Partnering with Twilio’s sales teams and respective managers will be essential as you work toward creating an effective customer on-boarding process that prioritizes customer innovation.
  • You will continuously develop standardized forms of measurement for individual contributors and use these measures as part of an overall strategy to motivate Pre-Sales Engineers at various stages of their career.
  • You will be actively involved in sales strategy during Twilio’s continued expansion into new global markets.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of working and leading in high growth, global technology companies.
  • An operationally focused executive.
  • A leader. You enjoy working with teams, setting priorities and providing constructive management feedback. You are known for building cross-functional relationships and are comfortable making difficult decisions when necessary.
  • Experienced at building high-performance pre-sales organizations.
  • Outstanding experience in the field of cloud software development and deployment.
  • A good understanding of Twilio’s value proposition. You will credibly evangelize organizational transformation via software to technical leaders at Fortune 1000 companies.
  • In addition to having a software mindset, you possess specific skills that empower your thought leadership in the fields of scalable Web architecture and distributed systems and/or telecommunications.
  • You are comfortable in a modern cloud software environment and can gain the respect and support of Twilio's Engineering and Product teams.
