We are looking for a talented business development expert to play an integral role in defining New Relic as the authority in its field.
As the Vice President, Business Development at New Relic you will continue to build and lead our team of experienced business development professionals, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. You will have responsibility for delivering a coherent, worldwide strategic partnership plan, including channel partnerships, product-led partnerships, and deploy a strategy to gain market intelligence and support within New Relic’s ecosystem. This team’s activities will be guided by New Relic’s desire for long-term, hyper-revenue growth and how channel partnerships and technology partnerships can enable that goal.

We are looking for a talented business development expert to play an integral role in defining New Relic as the authority in its field.
As the Vice President, Business Development at New Relic you will continue to build and lead our team of experienced business development professionals, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. You will have responsibility for delivering a coherent, worldwide strategic partnership plan, including channel partnerships, product-led partnerships, and deploy a strategy to gain market intelligence and support within New Relic’s ecosystem. This team’s activities will be guided by New Relic’s desire for long-term, hyper-revenue growth and how channel partnerships and technology partnerships can enable that goal.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Build revenue generation and strategic partnerships development and management
- Identify and build opportunities based on New Relic’s vast data capture, including embedding our data in third party applications and licensing third party data sets to deliver new solution offerings to the market.
- Be an influence leader working closely with sales, marketing, and product organizations to rally around strategic partnership opportunities
- Ensure partnerships are part of the account planning for our go-to-market plans worldwide
- Actively lead the business development function in an effective, assertive manner
- 10+ years of experience in a corporate development or business development capacity in a highly competitive market with strong preference for SaaS,
- 5+ years managing high performing business development teams
- Experienced at developing licensing and embedded product relationships with global software vendors
- Critical problem-solving and analytical skills, and impeccable business judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable yet persistent
- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related discipline
