Purchasing Manager, Tooling & Maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, issue and analyze RFx packages for one-time projects and ongoing goods and services requirements
- Manage team of procurement professionals to support Tooling and Maintenance operations
- Manage and maintain supplier relationships and monitor status of work performed
- Monitor and manage costs to ensure adherence to project-specific budgets or forecasts
- Collaborate with the internal customers to understand requirements and roadmaps
- Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis, including strategic direction, market and industry position, capabilities and capacity, and risk assessment
- Recommend and implement sourcing and commodity strategies based on variety of factors, including product, operational, strategic, and financial considerations
- Analyze supplier spend, market prices, and trends and develop overall supplier negotiation and engagement strategies
- Implement and improve processes to drive team and supplier performance improvements
- Initiates or supports supplier add/exit plans as required by evaluating internal requirements against the external supplier base
- Analyze supplier performance and negotiate contracts, assess new supplier relationships, and consolidate supplier relationships as necessary
- Negotiate and implement cost-saving programs with suppliers
- Issue purchase orders, ensure timely delivery and resolve invoice issues
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Finance or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Supplier Management
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with forecasting, budgets, ROI, TCO
- Project Management and contract negotiation experience
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Remarkable problem solving skills
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, especially MS Office Suite
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
- Conducts all activities with the highest of integrity
