Recruiting Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- As a Recruiting Coordinator at SpaceX, your primary responsibility is to schedule all candidate phone and onsite interviews. This includes booking conference rooms, organizing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements with the candidates, and generally making sure the candidate has a successful interview day. You will also assist in special projects that might include efficiency studies, outreach programs, creation of new marketing materials, and ad-hoc report creation, amongst other things.
- Strong communication and presentation skills are critical for success in this position. You must be able to speak intelligently about our business and the space industry as you interact with external and internal clients. You may even be asked to present to panels of engineers or students. We look for team players who are capable of moving very quickly and balancing many projects simultaneously. Several previous coordinators have gone on to other roles within the organization including human resources, recruiting, finance, marketing, and community outreach.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and above
- Must have previous experience in a professional setting (internships count) involving marketing, human resources, sales, or technology
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Team player with a high sense of urgency to interact at all levels of the organization
- Must be adept at functioning in dynamic environments, able to identify and prioritize tasks, handle multiple on-going projects, be flexible to change and able to juggle shifting priorities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact, diplomacy and discretion
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, including senior management, on one-to-one basis and in groups
- Strong research and presentation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic knowledge of personnel policy and procedure in accordance to federal and state laws regarding employment practices
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to career fairs and other SpaceX locations; no more than 10% travel required
