Supplier Performance Specialist


Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up with supplier to obtain acknowledgement of purchase orders and promise dates for new purchase orders.
  • Ensure that delivery dates on Purchase Orders are accurate and up to date.
  • Expedite part numbers that will negatively impact the Production schedule.
  • Escalate to buyer and Purchasing Management supply issues that will cause impact to Production.
  • Provide regular updates to the buyer, purchasing management, production control and engineering on the delivery of parts.
  • Provide regular delivery scorecard information to suppliers.
  • Resolve invoices and Receiving issues impacting the purchase order
  • Maintain current supplier contact information.
  • Maintain NDA and ITAR records for compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prefer a solid understanding of DOE, GD&T, SPC or Mechanical Fabrication techniques.
  • Highly prefer experience with Mechanical Fabricated parts or jigs, fixtures, tooling, injection molding, plastics, ceramics, machine shop (CNC, Mills, Lathes) experience is required.
  • MSME/BSME, or equivalent or MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success with managing a project/program to completion.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, remarkable problem solving skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, especially MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent customer service skills.


Additional Requirements: 

  • Position requires long hours and some nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • Travel is required - up to 50-70%.
