Enterprise Systems Engineer
The Box Enterprise Systems team has a unique opportunity for you to bring your development expertise and business savvy to work every day! We are in need of a driven and hands-on developer with strong business skills who can help scale key pieces of the company’s business infrastructure. As a member of Box’s growing Enterprise Engineering team, you will build and support automation that directly enables the success of Box’s Sales, Marketing, Billing, Customer Success, and Business Development groups. We build applications from scratch, enhance existing systems, and integrate multiple platforms in order to support mission-critical business use cases. This means our engineers retain broad ownership over the design, function, QA, and maintenance of the products we produce. Your day-to-day will also require close collaboration with Box’s Engineering, core IT, and Product groups in addition to key stakeholders from our different business units.
Responsibilities
- Build applications from 0 to 100% on the force.com platform to address crucial business use cases for the groups that we support. Long term potential in leveraging other platforms for specific projects (i.e. Heroku, Google Apps engine, etc…)
- Support data and workflow integrations between our key 3rd party business systems.
- Enhance and support our existing systems to ensure they scale with the growth of the business
- Triage bugs when needed, collaborate with different teams to execute end-to-end testing.
- Bring your unique experience and expertise to a diverse and passionate team -- enthusiasm is a must!
Qualifications
- 4 year CS degree or comparable experience Capable of building from scratch high-impact applications that can scale
- Passionate about the business side of things as much as the technical side
- Is a GSD fanatic that thrives off of high pressure and high impact projects on short timelines
- Strong communicator; able to get along with salespeople as easily as with engineers
Nice to Have
- Demonstrable expertise programming in Java, Javascript, jquery, Scala, PHP, or Ruby.
- Experience building and writing to APIs, expertise in software system and algorithm design
- Experience with building applications on the force.com platform
