[Artsy] Communications Associate

Communications Associate

Artsy seeks a Communications Associate to help us reach art lovers, students, educators, and patrons around the world and share with them our resources for learning about and collecting art.

Providing foundational support to the Communications team, you will play a key role in telling Artsy’s story, expanding our global presence, and ultimately furthering our mission to make art accessible to anyone with an Internet connection. Life at Artsy embodies the unique combination of Art + Science, and you will collaborate with leading arts professionals as well as world-class engineers and designers across the Arts, Editorial, Product, Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Operations teams.

Your primary responsibilities will be to execute multi-layered press campaigns surrounding art fair partnerships, benefit auctions, product launches, and special projects; market content; and assess and facilitate press requests, fact checking, interviews, photo shoots, event invitations, and speaking engagements. You will help execute brand partnerships and events, and you will oversee the important day-to-day coordination of Communications team reporting structures. You will gain experience in art, technology, lifestyle, education, and entertainment PR and work closely with the Communications and Events Manager and Head of Communications, Director of Media and Brand Partnerships.

You are a highly proficient writer, a frequent consumer of arts and culture media, a motivated self-starter who can prioritize and manage your own projects, and a stickler for details. You are flexible and embrace opportunities for growth. An ideal candidate has 1-3 years experience in communications or editorial positions.

To apply, email your resumé and two short nonfiction writing samples to communications_associate@artsy.net. Please no academic papers; we may accept an article published in a newspaper or magazine, a press pitch, a press release, etc.
