We are looking for top-notch JavaScript developers to join a team that's building the next generation of a product that serves billions of pageviews a month on sites that you've most certainly heard of. This isn't your run-of-the-mill client-side app: you'll be called upon to develop features that will serve Fortune 500 companies and boutique brands; to work with a full JavaScript stack, front to back; to write code that can withstand the assaults common to third-party applications; and to do it all in an environment where an extra 100ms can have a measurable impact on the bottom line.

That means it's super important that you're highly effective at managing your time without supervision; communicating with a dispersed team; and being proactive about sharing what you know.
We are hiring full time stellar software engineer with strong front-end skills for our Bazaarvoice Curations team located in Austin, TX. Curations is the newest product at Bazaarvoice that enables customers to harness a wealth of social media content tailored for their marketing needs, and display it right where it can go to work delivering engagement, trust, and conversion. Our new social media curation platform allows customers to build engaging experiences on their site with high-quality, relevant social content. As an engineer on the Curations team, you would be working on developing the next generation of social commerce including creating new visualizations of social content on commerce sites and building out a highly flexible and scalable platform for collecting and displaying millions of social posts from social channels like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Google+, Youtube, etc.. If you're the right person, then you'll have no trouble explaining closures, variable scope, prototypal inheritance, and the async nature of JavaScript. You'll also probably have 5 or more years of experience with:
- Client-side JavaScript app development using Ember, Angular, Backbone, or similar
- One or more client-side templating libraries (Handlebars, Mustache, etc.)
- One or more CSS preprocessors (Sass, LESS, Stylus, etc.)
- AMD and modular codebases
- Node.js basics, especially Express
- Using promises to manage asynchronous code
- Functional testing and unit testing
