- Identify areas for process and productivity improvements;
- Desktop support of both technical and non technical users (e.g. software developers, support, marketing);
- Carry out routine procedures (e.g. user management across multiple applications);
- Assist with projects involving the roll out of new productivity services for staff;
- Document key procedures and maintain documentation according to standards;
- Support our VOIP and Video Conferencing systems;
What You've Got
- Several years experience in Help Desk Support/Technical Support role or similar;
- A passion for helping others and the attitude to match;
- The ability to self-start and work well without supervision;
- A passion for process improvement, and the ability to identify areas for efficiency gains;
- The ability to analyse requests, prioritise them and keep stakeholders adequately informed;
- Experience identifying issues, diagnosing, and carrying them through to resolution;
- Experience with Apple operating systems and applications Experience with Apple and PC hardware;
- Ability to create and edit documentation to a standard, including documentation written by others;
- Ability to take in a massive amount of new information in a short time;
- Adept at handling interruptions while focussing on a larger task;
And if you've got some of this, even better
- Information management skills, such as organising a company wiki;
- Foundation in scripting/programming;
- Familiarity with inventory management systems;
- Knowledge of *nix systems and applications;
- Experience with Windows operating systems and applications;
- Knowledge of networking software and protocols (IP, DNS, DHCP, etc);
- Familiarity with VOIP systems (Switchvox);
- Previous experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence etc) Experience with Java and related technologies;
