HR Analyst Intern
Overview:
Supports organizational programs in Human Resources by providing regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis in areas such as turnover, vacancy, employee relations, and performance management. Heavily focused on initiatives to automate reporting as much as possible, and help to design the infrastructure of the Workforce Analytics Plan at SpaceX.
Responsibilities:
- Manage HR system data reporting capabilities. Establish core business metrics, advanced analytics and establish an HR Dashboard aligned to educating and evaluating people data in support of business goals
- Take ownership of standard reporting with the end goal of documenting reports published and automating the top requested reports
- Develop a suite of reports/dashboards for users/management
- Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in areas of responsibility
- Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects
- Ability to interpret data into meaningful information for business leaders
Basic Qualifications:
- Must currently be enrolled at a four-year university or college or no more than 6 months out from the most recent degree completed.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident (i.e. green card holder)
- Must be available to work full time at our Hawthorne facility beginning Jan/March 2015.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel and Access skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Excellent project management and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed, focused execution.
- Possesses the professional, interpersonal, and cultural skills to establish early and lasting trust, credibility, and rapport at all levels of the organization.
- SQL knowledge is a plus
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to work overtime

- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
