[Cloudera] Senior Manager – EMEA Education Programs

Cloudera’s Senior Manager – EMEA Education Programs will manage all of Cloudera’s EMEA regional training delivery, and training channel activities. This includes management and staffing of the instructor team, as well as managing Cloudera’s channel of training resell, delivery, and academic partners. This role will work closely with the Cloudera sales team to accurately forecast EMEA’s training business, ensure our coverage model aligns with the pipeline of training demand, and provide sales support as needed. There will also be regular interaction with curriculum and certification teams to provide feedback on our courseware, provide subject matter experts for curriculum and certification content, and help schedule instructor authorization events.

This position will frequently serve as the first contact point for Partners, Customers and Internal Staff (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Curriculum Development…etc) seeking information, guidance, and clarification on regional Cloudera training offerings and programs.

 The channels portion of the job is to identify (as needed), manage and drive business through training partners in the region. This includes day-to-day management of multiple existing Cloudera Training Partners; managing schedules and instructor certification, providing sales and marketing support, responding to inbound inquiries, tracking progress toward revenue and certification goals, and ensuring partners adhere to the program processes/procedures.

This position will additionally have peripheral responsibilities to support the recruitment of universities to join Cloudera’s Academic Program, manage territory training resellers, some administrative work associated with Training Partnerships, supporting of training marketing endeavors, assist Business Development in training/certifying Cloudera’s network of Platform, OEM, Application and SI partners, and other tasks needed to support the rapid growth of Cloudera’s business.

The position will report to and interact regularly with Cloudera’s Senior Director of Education Programs.

Responsibilities:

Including, but not limited to:

  • Managing Direct and Channel Cloudera University business in EMEA Region
  • Forecasting Training Bookings for the EMEA Region
  • Partner Recruitment and Management
  • Instructor Recruitment and Management
  • Monitor and report on bookings forecast, quality, utilization, cancellation rates, and other standard training metrics
  • Contract Negotiation
  • Sales Support
  • Manage Regional Partner Schedule, Partner Certifications, and Program Reporting
  • Recruit Universities to join Cloudera Academic Partnership, and foster those relationships
  • Create and implement, in conjunction with Cloudera’s marketing team, campaigns designed to drive education sales.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Successful experience driving revenue-generating training endeavors
  • EMEA Training Management experience – preferably with experience managing a diverse and remote team
  • Channel Sales Experience (Training Channel Experience Preferred)
  • Partner Management experience; with history of growing channel revenues
  • Experience working in multiple EMEA countries, and understanding of unique business practices
  • Ability to work remotely and independently
  • Experience using spreadsheets, creating reports and presentations
  • Ability to prioritize and improvise (within departmental and company guidelines)
  • Travel as needed throughout the region

Additional Qualifications:

  • Multi-lingual
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of Hadoop, big data, and data management markets

Education:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience is required.
