Analytics Lead Engineer
Kiosked is a Finnish company that sets out to revolutionize e-commerce by making it possible for brands to monetize all online impulses – independent of media and device. Insight to our service usage and consumer behavior in it is one of the critical aspects of our service and value proposition.
Would you like to have a crucial role in building Kiosked’s core analytics functionality, in our Analytics team. Your role will include both implementing new functionality and scaling up current platform to meet our ever increasing demand. You have background from creation of large-scale enterprise analytical software and/or online-advertising, and know how to scale for both huge datasets and high traffic.
You will be in a key role in designing and implementing core back-end components for the Kiosked platform. You love to handle big amount of data. You will be involved in architectural planning of our platform. You have strong data oriented programming skills.
You work together with the team of high-caliber pros in our multicultural environment offers over 20 different nationalities, talented people and of course our office has a nice view over the sea. We all share the passion to make Kiosked the next big success story.
We are looking a Lead Engineer to our Analytics team. We have been adding several new engineers to our crew lately. As our business keeps on growing rapidly we are continuously looking for several persons into this team.
Required skills:
- High degree of proficiency and experience in Hadoop map-reduce jobs, developing Java applications and parallel data processing flows
- Experience in both relational and non-relational data storages
- Good knowledge of the Linux environment
- M.Sc/B.Sc degree in computer science or equivalent skills
- You are fluent in English and good communicator
- You have passion for data analytics and staying up to date with new technologies and are a fast learner
Desirable Skills:
- Experience from the following technologies and tools is beneficial in this role: Clojure, Cascalog, Scalding, Summingbird, PIG, Hive, HBase, Cassandra, SOLR, Jenkins, Apache Kafka, Storm, Memcached and Redis
- Familiar with agile methods (like Scrum/kanban methodology), as well as test-driven development and continuous integration experience
