ABOUT THE ROLE

You will help build the Business Analyst practice within Centro’s engineering organization where you will collaborate with a strong, cross functional team of software architects, developers, testers, designers, and product managers.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Conduct requirements analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff, workshops and meetings to define business requirements. Develop supporting process flows.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Conduct analysis and documentation of existing business processes; recommend process improvements.
  • Provide business analysis services in support of both organizational as well as client engagement initiatives.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Perform business analysis and systems analysis for complex initiatives.
  • Work with product managers to develop epics and stories. Break down epics into smaller stories and work with the development team to define and estimate the stories.
  • Work as part of the development team to deliver potentially shippable increments of capability in regular iterations.
  • Apply knowledge and experience of agile practices and techniques in support of cross-functional teams
  • Manage functional backlog and ensure appropriate action is taken to ensure backlog accuracy at all times.
  • Drive the resolution of backlog related issues and execute timely escalation if needed.
  • Analyze change requests, determine impacts and execute change requests management procedures.
  • Track Analysis efforts and provide visibility into analysis velocity.
  • Develop and maintain project glossary
  • Facilitate Agile Planning and Estimation workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree (MIS/CIS or Computer Science preferred). Or Equivalent Experience
  • 3-10 years experience on a software development team, with at least 5 years of professional Business Analyst experience. Preference given to individuals with enterprise web development/SaaS experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in various techniques to elicit, analyze, and communicate requirements
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever changing development environment; must be flexible and willing to re-prioritize as needed.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile processes and how they are applied
  • Self-starter with the experience and aptitude to work independently, in collaboration with the team or as a mentor to more junior Business Analysts.

Are you a Japanese engineer with excellent game or application development skills in C or C++? Are you interested in real-time graphics, state-of-the-art UI cockpit technologies, motivated by the visual outcome of your work? If you are confident in working closely with premium automotive customers, and ready for real responsibility and real technical leadership, we have the perfect opportunity for you..

Rightware (www.rightware.com), based in Finland and the leader in interactive 2D and 3D user interface software for high-end automotive cockpits (called Kanzi), is expanding! We already have a presence in Munich, Shanghai, Seoul, Detroit, Silicon Valley and Tokyo….but now its time to build up our application development expertise with our Japanese customers. As a Senior Software Engineer (or actually Technical Manager), you will work closely with premium automotive brands in Japan, advising them on Kanzi within their automotive application and UI cockpit. Most OEMs in Japan are not targeting rich graphics or content in good HMI / UI, but we are. Our pure 3D graphics interface HMI is literally the best in the business. Need proof? Check out new the new Audi TT cockpit cluster, powered by Rightware’s Kanzi solution! Now its time to take that technology into Japanese cars..

After spending a week or two in Finland mastering how to use Kanzi, you will return home traveling occasionally within Japan to visit our premium automotive customers there, showing a brief demo or advising them how to get the best out of our Kanzi software. You will be based in downtown Tokyo in a modern office (100 employees there), while we continue to recruit the best engineering and design talent to reinforce our Kanzi explosive expansion.

Who are you:

  • excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both verbally and written
  • open to travel 50%
  • brilliant in application development, interest in graphics APIs, real-time programming
  • excellent experience using engines for application development
  • strong in making superb proof of concepts or demos for customers

You have Proven technical expertise in:

  • game or application development using C or C++
  • embedded software development (mobile, automotive, consumer)
  • basic knowledge about UI frameworks, good understanding of how UI framework works-  qt, WPF etc
  • excellent customer facing skills combined with the ability to create technical presentations, documentation and deliver product demonstrations
  • ability to apply technical experience to identify and develop business opportunities
  • you are self-motivated, excellent attention to detail and follow-up, and can work independently

Bonus skills:

  • automotive application development experience
  • graphical concepts and programming OpenGL ES in 3D and User Interfaces in C/C++
  • practical understanding/appreciation of industry standard 2D/3D Digital Content Creation (DCC) Tools such as Photoshop, 3DSMax, Maya and Softimage
  • graphics APIs, real-time programming

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and manage overall global marketing plans for the software development and market, and guide the teams associated with executing them

  • Create broad go-to-market campaigns and themes that grow product sales and brand strength in the market for collaboration products for software teams

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 15+ years of related experience in building marketing, demand generation and demand conversion teams that consistently deliver shock-and-awe results.

  • Excellent writing and verbal skills
