Sr. Product Manager - Desktop Products

In this role, you will guide the development of a suite of revolutionary desktop applications used by millions of users. Like all Box products, our desktop apps combine the best of social interaction, document management, and Cloud computing and your responsibilities will include setting a vision for the future of Box on the desktop, maintaining in-depth knowledge of Box users and championing their needs within Box, defining and prioritizing product requirements, and supporting sales and marketing in product rollouts and communication activities. You'll also be required to have incredible amounts of fun working with some of the very best product managers, engineers and designers in the Valley.
Responsibilities
- Drive Box’s Desktop product roadmap (includes Sync, Box Edit, Box for Office, and recent Streem acquisition), informed by extensive customer and field interaction, deep knowledge of the competitive and enterprise IT landscapes and a keen sense of business strategy.
- Work with cross-functional teams to author product requirements. Collaborate with engineering to drive implementations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Support to roll out new features and products.
- Collect and measure key product metrics to inform success/failure of each release and plan iterations accordingly.
- Engage with senior executive team on a regular basis for strategy, execution and market discussions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Product Management, or a related field such as Product Marketing, Sales and/or Engineering.
- Domain expertise in enterprise content management, collaboration and/or desktop applications.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and agile development methods. Must be capable of delivering new products and features iteratively.
- Excellent organization and communications skills.
- MUST be highly collaborative.
- Natural leadership skills and ability to work with all teams in the Company.
- Passion for cloud technologiesBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. MBA a plus.
