Sr. Software Engineer, User Flow Optimization
As a UFO Engineer at Box, you will be responsible for driving customer value by identifying and resolving high friction user flows. You will be expected to stand out as a leader of user experience tracking and analysis, using the data collected to improve critical flows across Box platforms. You will take ownership of architecting and implementing full-stack features and frameworks using advanced Javascript, Node JS, PHP, Scala, HTML, and CSS. You will work closely with other developers, product management, design, business analytics and marketing to develop cross-platform features and improvements. We will count on you to own and deliver business-critical projects in a collaborative, energetic environment.
Qualifications
- Passion for user experience
- Love for learning and growing. A desire to push yourself outside of your technical comfort zone
- Contributing to the architecture of large scale applications using Javascript, PHP and Scala
- Familiarity with large, highly object-oriented codebases, and the ability to learn your way around quickly
- Excited to solve complex problems in a sophisticated web application
- Be a leader of new skills and best practices adoption for the entire engineering organization
- Experience programming using RESTful APIs
- Good knowledge of vanilla Javascript
- 5+ Years of Relevant Experience
Nice-to-have Skills
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Experience with user experience testing, usability, and data analytics
- Experience with a large object-oriented PHP code base
- Experience with Javascript frameworks such as jQuery, Angular, Backbone, Require and React
- Experience with Node JS and/or Scala
