Technical Program Manager
Box is seeking a highly-driven Technical Program Manager to join its Technical Operations team in Mountain View and augment the world-class Program Management capability within the organization. This role requires a very experienced and adaptive individual to drive cross-functional projects & programs across the various disciplines in Technical Operations. The scope of responsibility will include management of strategic initiatives in the areas of Application and Infrastructure Operations extending into partner organizations such as Product & Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering and Operations leads to support structured and predictable project deliverables
- Create a collaborative environment that reinforces a culture of autonomy, transparency, innovation, quality, and continuous learning
- Manage resource planning and staffing activities for projects within the areas of responsibility
- Develop a set of project tools and procedures that scale up to large, complex, E2E projects and/or ongoing projects
- Manage and maintain multiple project schedules, drive team-level deliverables, and communicate to stakeholders
- Provide executive team project reporting – project status, risks, issues and mitigation plans
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager
- Experience in software/system design and development methodologies
- Strong experience in dealing with a variety of stakeholders with particular skills in communication, consultation and negotiation
- Outstanding cross-functional management and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong bias for action and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Highly flexible, ability to multi-task across a number of simultaneous projects
