CNC Mill Machinist- 5 Axis Okuma
 
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting up and operating 5-Axis Okuma CNC Machining Centers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in set up and operation of CNC Machining Centers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in shop math, tooling technology, blueprint reading and measurement of parts.
  • Experience using precision measuring devices in a shop floor environment. (e.g., micrometers, calipers)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Siemens, Haas and Okuma Controls.
  • Familiar with Fanuc Controls.
  • Programming experience relative to understanding program coding and interpreting programs.
  • Familiar with 5S principles.
  • Familiar with MRP Systems.
  • Proven capabilities to provide continuous improvement suggestions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3:30pm-2am),overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must be proficient at all types of machining center processing.
  • Must be able to complete set-up and machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
  • Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
