Data Warehouse Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support an enterprise-level data warehouse which encompasses data from ERP, PLM, Quality, and Project Management systems
- Design user interfaces and functional specifications
- Verify accuracy and consistency of data
- Data Systems implementation (Reporting tools, data warehousing tools, workflow and automation tools)
- Working with an Enterprise Data Architect to map and develop a unified, consistent enterprise data structure
- Develop ETL processes to support systems integration
- End-user acceptance testing and roll-out
- Identification of technology utilization opportunities
- Document all infrastructure and development
Required Skills and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in a related technical or business discipline
- At least 5 years of experience as a data warehouse engineer
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Extensive experience gathering requirements, designing, and developing data warehouses
- SQL Proficiency in MS SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012
- End-user training proficiency
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to create original and creative solutions
- Must have the ability to cope with significant complexity while creating or modifying solutions
- The ability to work closely with users, and be proficient with requirements gathering techniques
- Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional business requirements
- Ability to resolve complex issues related to enterprise-wide business requirements
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communications skills
- SharePoint 2010 experience
- Business dashboard experience
- Project management experience
