Front-End Web Applications Engineer

Successfully completing a mission to space involves many interrelated tools and databases. This includes everything from our high-level system channel allocations to low-level harness definitions to flight software configuration files to ground software alarms definitions. We are looking for excellent software engineers to help revamp our core Avionics design databases.
 
Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for defining and implementing new user interfaces that allow us to better capture the electrical design of our vehicles. You will work with avionics engineers to gather user interface goals and requirements. You will build an application that integrates with our backend APIs to provides a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or similar area of study is required
  • Experience writing object-oriented code in JavaScript, Python, PHP, C++, Java or similar
  • Experience writing and debugging dynamic client-side applications using client-side MVC/templating frameworks like Angular.js, Mustache, Ember.js, or similar
  • Experience writing unit tests for client-side applications
  • Experience writing semantic HTML/XHTML and CSS/LESS/SASS

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • More than anything else, we are looking for a candidate who has the ability to learn on the fly and work well with others
  • A passion for utilizing best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility and usability
  • Experience consuming JSON APIs in client-side frameworks is strongly preferred
