Mandrill Delivery Support Analyst

We're growing quickly, and looking for a customer-focused delivery analyst to help us combat spam, educate our users on email delivery best practices, and track delivery trends from our servers to recipient inboxes. You love technology and helping customers get their desired outcome quickly. You're a problem-solver. When presented with a problem, you know where to start your search to obtain all the relevant information. Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience with email delivery, ISP or ESP relations, or similar experience
  • Comfortable and well-versed in email and phone etiquette
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Independent and self-reflective learner - you have a voracious appetite for learning new things and dive in to new problems enthusiastically
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to identify potential harmful sending activity and work with users to understand best practices for deliverability
  • Ability to recognize and identify senders with—and without—malicious intent
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and identify technical issues
  • Familiarity with the unix command line and simple command line tools (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience with SMTP conversations and querying/understanding DNS records and responses is a plus
