PEDIGREE REVIEW MANAGER

 

Overview

 

This is a critical contract role, aligning reviews and support activities of SpaceX with US Government teams, representing billions of dollars in potential revenue.  You are the rare combination of strategic thinker with outstanding attention to detail.  You are equally adept dealing with people, data, and technology, and can drive the process under strict timelines.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manages and leads the various US Gov’t (U.S. Air Force/NASA/NRO) customer pedigree reviews and support activities. Supports Launch Vehicle Mission Manager and interfaces directly with the Customer teams to ensure timely delivery of contract items.
  • Plans, develops and improves pedigree review systems, policies and procedures for all aspects of  customer reviews necessary to assure flight worthiness of critical hardware and systems.
  • Plan, develop and maintain pedigree review schedules in accordance with contract requirements, production and mission schedules.
  • Organizes and presents end item data packages which include design, manufacturing, test and operational records as required by contract. This include as Designed/As Built (AD/AB) configuration status accounting list, Design change documentation and qualification test records, Production acceptance test records, Production build records, nonconformances, anomalies, corrective actions, failure analysis, deviations / waivers, limited life items, and component service life items.
  • Tracks pedigree related data deliverables, action items, and customer requests. Resolves issues and concerns and we meet Customer expectations.

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering or related discipline
  • Min 5 years of experience in related Industry
  • Experience driving US Government launch vehicle requirements and standards
  • Must have good communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate aerospace hardware and systems problems to technical professionals to initiate resolutions. 

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

 

  • Experience working with or managing cross-functional teams
  • Technical project management experience
  • Knowledge of control of nonconforming hardware, failure/root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action process.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, detail oriented, possess initiative, and team oriented.
  • Demonstrated competence in working with diverse personnel to resolve issues and short deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, quick thinker, able to convey ideas and present unconventional solutions to unique problems.  
  • Highly detail oriented, diligent, hard working with excellent customer interface skills
  • Highly motivated with exceptional work ethics, dependability, verbal and written skills
