Risk & Reliability Engineer
Responsibilities
- The engineer will work closely with director of risk to develop safety & reliability models for various systems and communicate results to company engineers and managers.
- Develop Reliability Databases and Fault Tree models, performing Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Analyses, and Probabilistic Risk Assessments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an Engineering field or an equivalent amount of education and relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in reliability including FMEA and Fault Tree Models
- Ability to perform Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA, and Statistical Analyses
- Previous experience with SAPHIRE fault tree analysis software
Preferred Skills:
- Strong physics background in disciplines relevant to spacecraft and launch vehicles
- Must possess strong initiative and problem solving skills with the ability to make oral and written arguments; and the ability to work independently as well as a member of an integrated project team with limited supervision.
- Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight
