We have opened our new sales office in Sydney and are looking for a unique person with a wide range of technical skills and a lot of energy. You might consider yourself as the go to expert for HubSpot’s platform including the resident IT expert for solving internal IT needs.
At HubSpot, we pride ourselves on solving problems and this position will have the opportunity to become an indispensable resource by helping a dozen new salespeople run a fast and fun shop.
Duties:
- Assist sales specialists in telephone and internet sales for HubSpot’s product by developing deep product expertise
- Actively drive the technology evaluation stage of the sales process with our prospects and customers
- Perform needs assessments and analysis based on calls with sales specialists to clearly demonstrate HubSpot’s positioning and platform to meet prospect’s business objectives and goals
- Provide first line response for employees requiring assistance with IT issues and problems
- Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email, and in person and manage those issues in our help desk management system
- Track issues to resolution and escalate more complex problems to appropriate teams as needed
- Assist finance operations with local support for complex deal configuration, approvals, and processing
- Represent the IT department in a positive, helpful and energetic fashion
- Proactively maintain tight ties to the headquarters office in the United States to self-manage training in a company that changes rapidly
Requirements:
- Knowledge of email software, internet browsers and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to troubleshoot common Mac software and hardware issues
- Basic Cisco phone system and switching skills are a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Eagerness to learn
Ideally you will have:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in a Sales Engineering capacity and a big plus if the individual has Help Desk or Corporate IT experience.
- ACMT Certification a plus
At this point, we are only considering candidates who are a permanent resident in Australia
