Certification Integration Engineer
Responsibilities
- Supporting Launch Vehicle Certification Manager, leading various U.S. Government (U.S. Air Force/NASA/NRO) launch vehicle certification tasks, including but not limited to:
- Managing certification integrated schedule
- Tracking data product deliveries, action items, and data requests
- Reviewing actions and follow-up on customer requests
- Maintaining a database of documents and responses already provided
- Working directly with government on-site residents
- Preparing requirements and certification documentation
- Supporting program and regularly scheduled reviews
- Organizing and supporting recurring technical interchange meetings
- Supporting the verification and certification process
- Working with SpaceX technical departments and discipline certification leads to ensure product deliveries on schedule
- Interface with PMM, Sales, and Finance groups, as necessary
- Helping technical staff understand certification effort so that they can plan their tasks appropriately to maintain schedule
- Supporting Mission Managers with various mission integration tasks to ensure they are completed in a quality and timely fashion
- As necessary, supporting other customer activities, schedule generation, and proposal content creation, review, and editing
Basic Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience
- Technical project Management experience
- Knowledge of US Government expendable launch vehicle requirements
- Experience interacting with and presenting to external customers (preferably US Government)
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with and/or managing cross-functional teams
- Highly detail oriented, diligent, hard working with excellent customer interface skillsHighly motivated with exceptional work ethic
- Excellent written and verbal skills
