The data engineering team is responsible for the data storage, processing and exploitation by our internal tools or from Deezer's website and mobile apps. We work on large scale distributed system, processing terabytes of data every day, running hundreds of analytical jobs to leverage this data and improve our service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take the lead of the data engineering team (3-5 data engineers) while remaining in a hands-on developer role.
- Design, build, scale and evolve our data infrastructure (Hadoop/Pig, Hive, ElasticSearch)
- Take responsability on building and evolving our Datawarehouse and ETL processes.
- Proactive in our internal software architecture and development (royalties management, CRM campaign management)
- Technical expertise for evaluating new bigdata technologies
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years experience in software engineering with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in Datawarehouse / BI environment.
- Proficient with the Hadoop ecosystem (Pig, Hive, Sqoop, ...)
- Strong and proven engineering skills (code versioning, tests, review)
- Proficient with several programming languages within Bash, Python, PHP, Java
- Ability to find clear, efficient and solid software/system architecture
- Excellent Unix/Linux knowledge
- Experience with ElasticSearch or other distributed systems is a plus
- Must be proactive, self-directed and organized
- Fluency in English or French
