About the job:

  • In this role the candidate will be responsible for commission administration duties including supervising sales processing and commission verification with Finance and SBUs ensuring that all approvals meet established SLAs and target dates. 
  • The Compensation Specialist will assist in building the annual commission models for various sales organizations, presentation and development of actual plans. 
  • This person will also be administering other aspects of commission plans, including but not limited to bonuses, drawers, audits, growth & retention. He/she will:
    • Be tasked with Business & Sales Analysis, including working with CRM and technical administrators to ensure that all relevant sales data is being captured. This entails the ability to migrate between systems in order to prepare final commission and allocation files and develop relevant reports/dashboards for end-users analyses of booked sales, pipeline and forecast, and commission program (sales reps through executive management). 
    • Build flexible reports/analytics that are adaptable and customizable to the end-users' needs (sales reps through executive management). These can include ad hoc queries and revenue/billing analysis to create business intelligence.  
    • Be responsible for Sales Operations Administration, including reviewing and providing allocation for various enterprise agreements (e.g. Salesforce.com) and assisting with budget forecast and preparations.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilites include:
    • Administer Sales plans to Sales groups.
    • Responsible for all Sales compensation reporting.
    • Execute development and validation of models for compensation design.
    • Execute ongoing compensation analytics to manage budget, assess trends and identify issues.
    • Support translation of the Business Plan into sales quotas for various sales roles.
    • Model compensation plan mechanics in collaboration with Finance.
    • Publish quarterly compensation plan performance dashboards; produce appropriate analytic tools to support.
    • Management Adjustment decisions.
    • Collaborate to resolve data issues and ensure accuracy of adjustments.
    • Execute various research and analytics projects.
  • Additional responsibilites include:
    • Generate reporting for various contests and collaborations.
    • Perform analytics for governance purposes.
    • Establish sales reporting requirements following each compensation design cycle.
    • Maintain alignment with Compensation Administration Analysts.
    • Improve existing processes.
    • Collaborate to build new capabilities to support future compensation plan needs Grow use of existing Compensation System for expansion and new functions Enable Twilio Compensation Philosophy through innovation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible business is required.
    • Business Analytics, Sales, Marketing or Finance experience is preferred. Experience working with sales organizations is required.
    • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills are required.
    • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • Required skills and aptitudes also include:
    • Strong organization skills, strong personal computer skills, demonstrated teamwork and time management skills.
    • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, adaptable, good business acumen, good communication skills, problem solving and process orientation.
