You’re passionate about storytelling and love crafting beautiful videos that educate and move people. Lumosity is searching for an experienced and talented motion graphics artist to join our in-house team and create a variety of videos -- from commercials and user testimonials, to educational and product content.

YOU WILL

    • Join the Lumosity creative team and help develop a global brand
    • Collaborate with marketers, product managers, designers, copywriters, and scientists to produce original video content for commercials, social media, YouTube, the Lumosity website and in-product
    • Help own the entire video production process - concepting, storyboarding, illustrating, and animating
    • Help craft beautiful videos
    • Function as editor throughout the entire video process - have input on all aspects of video projects
    • Be a collaborative owner of all video editing decisions and technical responsibilities
    • Assist video production team with proper set up for all video shoots in the studio or on location
    • Make creative decisions in the filming and editing of video content to ensure cohesiveness by assessing narrative and visual context
    • Work with creative team to create best practices for production and post production of video content

YOU HAVE

    • Extensive experience in animation
    • Extensive experience in film, television, video editing, or related field
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in video editing: including other aspects of video production such as lighting, shooting, audio recording/mixing, sound design, and color correction
    • Ability to edit at a fast pace in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to recognize a great video moment
    • Excellent storytelling abilities
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills
    • Solid experience with editing and software applications including, but not limited to: Adobe Suite - with an emphasis on Illustrator, After Effects, and Premier and/or Final Cut, and Cinema 4D
    • Ability to effectively communicate with project managers and other internal teams
    • Extensive knowledge of video codecs, compositing, transcoding, and overall video formatting for web, television, and mobile devices
    • Some start-up experience or working in a smaller company environment preferred
    • Some producer/director experience preferred
    • Some live action shooting experience preferred
    • Interest in science, education preferred
    • A portfolio of relevant editing projects
    • Nice to haves: color correction, music mixing/demo capabilities, Flash experience, sound design
