We are looking for a dynamic Sales Director to join our Revenue Team. This position will work closely with our VP of Sales & Strategy to promote our technology and services to trading desks, advertising agencies and major brands with the intent of building and growing profitable relationships. In this role you will manage the sales process for your region from prospecting to close while ensuring excellent service and support to prospects and clients. The ideal candidate will be focused on monitoring lead follow-up for sales development and have a proven track record of meeting measurable sales goals. A successful candidate will have a contagious and insatiable desire to win and an inherent interest in the ad technology landscape. This position requires an independently motivated professional who can also thrive in a dynamic team environment. An entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic is essential!

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Develop a comprehensive plan to drive revenue by selling technology and services to large scale buyers of online advertising
    • Develop and sustain high-level customer relationships and serve as a trusted consultant who will help optimize clients’ advertising investments through strategy, service and technology
    • Partner with clients to understand strategic needs and deliver resources to meet not only advertising needs, but overarching business needs
    • Develop and expand strategic client/agency partnerships with rigorous and detailed attention to the strategic account planning process
    • Understand and effectively communicate Adaptly’s value proposition, technology, processes, and partnerships as they relate to the growth of current and prospective client accounts
    • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest in our platform service
    • Work collaboratively with all levels of staff in the Sales, Client Services, Product and Marketing
    • Maintain weekly sales forecast and achieve quota to ensure revenue objectives
    • Identify opportunities for additional revenue with prospective and existing account
    • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting these to the organization; report on the macro and micro forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
    • Leverage and expand existing knowledge of the digital media industry including developing innovations in mobile, social, and emerging media

Skills & Experience

    • 3+ years experience in Digital Ad Sales
    • Demonstrated partnership with large clients with a passion for customer focus; proven track record as a trusted advisor to clients
    • Deep understanding of the digital media industry with an ability to credibly articulate strategic insights for clients that are based on data/research
    • History of selecting appropriate products from a diverse product suite to solve the client’s advertising objectives
    • Goal oriented with a strategic mindset and the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate at all levels while gaining trust and developing superior relationships with prospects and maintaining an excellent reputation with attained customers and clients
    • Proficient in the understanding of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), as well as online advertising and associate technology
    • Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and position them against competitors
    • Strong skills in solution development and an ability to produce client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions that improve/accelerate client campaigns
    • Proven success and existing strong relationships with agencies and brands within your territory
    • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ease working at an appropriate or accelerated pace
    • Capability of expanding quickly into the larger responsibilities as the company grows rapidly
    • Must be able to work very independently, but also fit into a strong team environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree
