Engineering Program Manager
As an Engineering Program Manager (EPgM), have demonstrated solid leadership in Agile led program/project management best practices for initiating, planning and executing complex cross functional / crossteam engineering projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with engineering managers, technical leads and product owners to ensure rapid execution, high quality delivery of complex engineering projects.
- Manage partner integration projects to ensure agreed partner commitments are met. Often, requires working directly with program manager / technical lead from partner organization for dependency tracking and issues resolution as well as progress exchange.
- Manage and track top customer issues that require crossfunctional coordination.
- Manage and maintain project schedules, project information, and drive project execution.
- Resolve project conflicts, issues and disconnects among teams, and establish appropriateresolution paths.
- Assess risks and develop/execute risk management plans.
- Manage crossteam dependencies among multiple teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate planning and change activities in an “Agile” manner, sometimes directly with theteam as their program manager, and other times with program manager from partner’sorganization to integrate all features into a release package.
- Disseminate best practices for planning and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Well-organized with project information (recording, tracking, reporting). Demonstrated attention to detail and exacting quality standards.
- Multitasking across concurrent projectsKeen ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks
- Good negotiation skills, demonstrated ability to manage crucial and/or challengingconversations.
- Ability to manage and reach solutions to competing priorities.
- Experience working directly with product managers and engineers as well as presenting to Engineering, Product and Tech Ops management teams.
- Customer-focused. Experience interfacing with external partners / customers would be a plus.Experience with using metrics and data analysis to support or drive the right or most beneficialprocess improvements.
- Proven ability to work in a fastpaced environment, willingness to adapt to change and proceedon decisions made with varying levels of uncertainty.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating dynamic meetings, coordinating among high-energy participants and directing towards productive results.
- Ultimate team player. Collaborative yet passionate and motivating.
- 3-4 years of direct experience with multiple Agile Scrum teams.
- 5+ years of program management experience within an engineering or technical organization.
- Certified Scrum Master is a plus.
- BS or higher in technical field.
