Technical Product Manager
At ResearchGate, a product manager's role is far-reaching – it's their responsibility to define, develop, and drive the execution of their product vision. We're looking for people with strong technical backgrounds who will not only excel at orchestrating this product vision, but who can inspire their team to achieve it with them.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and execute a clear product vision and strategy
- Manage a product roadmap and develop requirements and specifications in the form of detailed user stories
- Implement and curate a product backlog
- Define and analyze KPIs that inform the success of what you build
- Lead a team of highly skilled engineers using agile methods (SCRUM)
- Partner with key stakeholders (developers, designers, copywriters, management, and sales) to ensure your product fulfills its objectives
- Assume ownership and responsibility for your product area and continuously improve on it
- Execute and ship in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of full-stack web technologies
- Expert in at least one of these languages: Java, PHP, C++, Python, JavaScript
- Experience defining, analyzing, and responding to product KPIs
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and arrive at valid conclusions
- Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with agile product-development processes (SCRUM)
- Very good command of English
