Position

As a Sales Strategy Analyst in the Business Strategy & Operations (BizOps) team, you will be responsible for critical analysis in support of strategic initiatives and reporting services to other areas of the company by gathering, extracting and manipulating raw data from multiple databases to transform it into useful information that can be used by the business.

You'll need to understand Atlassian's strategic direction and be able to analyze large amounts of data to help us achieve our goals.  Experience in SQL, Reporting/Statistical Tools and Excel will be required to successfully deliver results. You'll also be the type of person who enjoys playing with numbers, trying to present them in simple and useful ways that can help others take action based on the results.

As a Sales Strategy Analyst, you are the ultimate data expert and thrive on solving highly analytical problems and synthesizing ideas.

Team

The Sales Strategy team at Atlassian plays a critical role in defining strategic direction and identifying & capitalizing on revenue opportunities across the company. It is a high-profile, high-impact team working with Atlassian's various customer-facing teams across the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document and interpret business requirements for analysis
  • Develop business requirements to determine true underlying needs
  • Use data to provide insights into strategic decision making
  • Support the development of business cases for new strategic initiatives
  • Work with sales leaders to produce reporting & analysis in support of new or existing product lines 
  • Produce reports to provide better visibility & decision making across all levels of business

Required skills:

  • 2+ years working as a Business Analyst 
  • Experience with data analysis and forecasting
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (primary tool used for forecasting) 
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an attention to detail
  • Responsive to customer needs with a passion for quality work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data mining experience with BI Tools
  • Experience and solid understanding with software industry
  • Strategic thinker and highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Penchant for technology
