Sr. Front End Engineer, Enterprise

TEAM: The Enterprise Application team is responsible for building the features and infrastructure for large customers and their administrators to allow them to setup, manage and gain insights into their users and content. The team focuses on providing user management, content management, reporting and governance capabilities to our paid customers.Our broad set of technologies and products all share a set of common characteristics: -They run at massive scale -They present technically complex challenges -And, best of all, they impact all enterprise customers of Box. ROLE: As a Front End Senior Software Engineer for the Enterprise team at Box, you'll architect and implement customer-facing features and frameworks using advanced Javascript, HTML and CSS. You will work closely with other developers, design and product management to design and build a highly dynamic, usable customer experience. We’ll count on you to own and deliver business-critical projects in a collaborative, energetic environment. We are looking for innovative thinkers who are willing to learn and who can solve the technical challenges at Box with creativity and persistence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with common libraries
- Skilled in front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Ajax
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
- Experience working through cross-browser compatibility issues
- Excited to solve complex problems in a sophisticated web application
- Highly productive coder, self-starter and self-motivated
- Ability to learn quickly
- 4-year degree from a top-notch Computer Science or comparable program
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Passion for cloud technologies
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Passion about UX
- Familiarity with PHP
- Be a driver on a small team
- Knowledge of JavaScript testing frameworks such as QUnit
