About the job:
- Twilio has grown successfully from 50 San Franciscans 3 years ago to over 300 passionate Twilions in EMEA, North America, Asia and South America. We have been able to manage this exceptional growth, but are now at a size that we need to build the recruitment branding, systems and programs that allow us to continue to scale globally at an accelerated pace.
- The Director of Talent Acquisition will drive Twilio’s short and long term strategy of attracting and hiring the best talent in the world, and around the world.
- You will mentor and manage a group of highly talented recruiters, sourcers and coordinators.
- The Director of Talent Acquisition values the quality of experience provided to candidates and hiring managers alike.
- The right candidate will have the ability to win instant credibility with the team, to significantly influence managers and executives and have a sizeable presence in the technology and communications communities.
Responsibilities:
- Drive employer branding and visibility, posting optimization, and innovative candidate sourcing strategies.
- Develop and execute on innovative and cost-effective hiring strategies to meet talent objectives and enable critical roles.
- Identify key hiring sources that will result in a sustainable talent pipeline.
- Build a scalable recruitment system including collection, analysis, and reporting of measurement data (cost per hire, time to fill, applicant flow data, attrition, etc.) for process improvement and performance management.
- Provide ongoing reporting of business progress and key metrics to Executive team.
- Understand market conditions for targeted sources and prepare distinct and effective recruiting approaches to those markets.
- Develop and train best-in-class interview skills across the company to ensure we hire the best candidate for the role and for Twilio.
Requirements:
- 10+ years hands-on experience designing, building and leading quality, world-wide talent acquisition functions for high-growth companies.
- Proven ability and expertise in continuously building and maintaining a high quality, top-tier global talent acquisition function.
- Extraordinary presence coupled with high energy, sense of urgency, passion, and uncompromising in the push for success.
- A natural leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who can get people to follow and move in the same direction, all while facilitating an appropriate level of collaboration.
- Experience with multiple social media campaigns and building an employer brand presence virtually and physically.
- Proven ability to exceed established and quantifiable goals in a timely manner.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking, yet able to execute tactically.
- Strong experience in workforce planning, forecasting and developing to ensure appropriate resource plans for the recruiting function.
- Analytical; possession of a good grasp on numbers.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree a bonus.
